Résumé:
Cyclodextrins have attracted intense interests from different industries because of their abilities to form inclusion complexes in water and their water solubility and low toxicity. Chemical modifications of cyclodextrins are key to access structurally well-defined cyclodextrin derivatives with novel functionalities such as for use in the design of artificial enzymes, gene delivery vehicles, sensors, and novel supramolecular assemblies. Recently, there has been a slowdown in developing novel methodologies to structurally modify cyclodextrins. In this seminar, Dr. Ling will present some recent progress from his group on the development of new tools for cyclodextrin multi-substitutions.
