Résumé:
This seminar presents recent research progress made in the development of sweet glyco-products (sugar derivatives) of biological functions by Dr. Xiao-Peng He and Prof. Guo-Rong Chen's group. Development of functional fluorescence dyes modified on or with a sugar (the "glyco-dyes") as chemo- or bio-probes for ions, proteins and cells will be discussed. Sugar-based drug discovery using the "click chemistry" approach will also be highlighted.
